Becoming America is an excellent program offering professional development for teachers, helping them include the history and importance of immigration and multicultural populations in their curriculum. The theme of their summer institute this year is immigrants and food. Their blog discussed Paul and Angela’s The World in a Skillet as an interesting parallel to their program’s current theme.
